Design by Trade, Dahlias by Heart ♥️
Based in Kentucky, I am a lifelong gardener and designer offering a curated selection from my personal collection of over 500 dahlia varieties. Each year, I keep only a small handful of tubers for my own garden, allowing me to trade and share the rest with fellow enthusiasts like you.
I’ve been growing flowers alongside my mother for as long as I can remember. Dahlias hold a sacred place in my heart; they are more than just blooms—they are heirlooms. For decades, dedicated breeders and shepherds have protected their vitality, ensuring that the health and striking beauty of these flowers endure for the next generation to cherish.
Beyond the aesthetics, I have a deep seated interest in soil science and plant pathology. I am on a mission to refine protocols and methodologies that guarantee these flowers thrive for another century. Below you'll find my personal practices for cultivating healthy, resilient dahlias.
I look forward to seeing the beauty you bring to life in your own garden. Thank you for supporting this labor of love, here's to a billion more blooms.
Cheers ,
Mai

The Corawolf Gold Standard Guarantee
I want your garden to thrive! I take great pride in the quality of my plants tubers, and every order is inspected before it leaves my hands. When you purchase from me, here are my guarantees to you:
-
Viability: I guarantee that your tubers will arrive with at least one visible eye (or the clear potential for one) and will be firm and healthy. Some eyes are "sleepy" and may take a few weeks to wake up once they hit warm soil.
-
True-to-Name: I guarantee that the tuber you receive is the variety you ordered. If it blooms and ends up being a different variety, I will provide a refund for the cost of that tuber (shipping is non-refundable).
-
Arrival Issues: If your tubers arrive damaged or show signs of rot, please contact me within 48 hours of delivery with photos of the tuber and the packaging.
What I Cannot Guarantee
Because gardening involves many factors outside our control, I cannot be held responsible for:
-
Storage Rot: Issues that occur after you receive the tuber and store it yourself before planting.
-
Weather & Pests: Loss due to rot after planting (usually caused by overwatering or heavy spring rain), late frosts, or pests (slugs, earwigs, etc.).
-
Performance: Total bloom count or plant height, as these depend on your local soil, sun, and care.
-
Disease: I cannot guarantee that plants are 100% free of viruses, bacteria, or soil-borne diseases. Like all living organisms, dahlias can carry latent pathogens that may not show symptoms at the time of shipping. Some viruses or conditions (such as Dahlia Mosaic Virus) may remain dormant and only manifest under specific environmental stressors or once planted in your local soil. I regularly cull plants in my garden that shows signs of disease and virus and have strict sanitization protocols in place for cutting, digging, dividing, and handling of dahlias.
-
Assumption of Risk: By purchasing, the buyer acknowledges the inherent risk of gardening with live plants. We are not responsible for the spread of disease to other plants in your garden or for any loss of stock beyond the initial viability of the tuber upon arrival.
My Sanitization Practice

I take the health of my dahlias seriously. Because I am committed to providing the strongest possible stock, I follow a rigorous sanitation protocol throughout the entire growing and dividing season.
1. Sterilized Tools
I never move from one plant to the next with "dirty" equipment. I have a set of snips and use a 10% bleach solution or high-heat sterilization on all snips, knives, shovels, and dividing tools between every single clump. This prevents the mechanical spread of pathogens from plant to plant.
2. Aggressive Culling
I monitor my garden almost daily. If a plant displays suspicious mottling, stunting, or abnormal growth that suggests a virus or gall, I don't wait and see, I cull it immediately. I would rather lose a plant than risk the health of my entire beloved collection (and yours).
3. Pest Management
Since many viruses are spread by vectors like aphids and thrips, I maintain a proactive pest management schedule. By keeping the bug population in check, I keep my plants cleaner and more resilient.
4. Dedicated Dividing Stations
When it’s time to dig and divide, my workspace is cleaned between varieties. Each tuber is inspected for firm texture and a healthy crown before being prepped for storage.
A Note to Customers: While no grower can claim 100% virus-free stock without expensive lab testing for every single tuber, my protocols are designed to minimize risk and maximize your success. When you buy from me, you are buying tubers from a gardener who treats plant and soil health as a top priority.
